I could have blogged about this yesterday, but I figured this was worthy of it's own post! I recruited a new The Body Shop at Home consultant over Thanksgiving break! Her name is Shandra and she lives in the very small town of Rangley, CO. I am super stoked to have her on my team because there are no consultants in Rangley! She literally has the entire town at her fingertips! Shandra happens to be the niece of my fabulous sister-in-law, who was kind enough to host a book party for me over the Thanksgiving holiday. I did have several orders, which I think will help Shandra out since now people will actually be slightly familiar with the products. It never ceases to amaze me when I learn that people have never heard of The Body Shop! Maybe I'm just a city gal! But, I love cluing people into their amazing eco-friendly products!

And on another note, I'm so sorry I've been a bad blogger. (I know two faithful readers have been disappointed!) I was so busy with GNO's and then I left on vacation for the holidays. But, now I'm back! And I have great news! (For me anyway!) I'VE BEEN PROMOTED! I am now an official "Senior Consultant" with The Body Shop at Home. And it was so easy! I became one because I have personally recruited two amazing gals to become a part of Team Fabulous. Once they both had personal sales of at least $400 and I had personal sales of at least $600 I got promoted! I knew that I was well on my way to that promotion because both ladies have been excited and have really made an active effort to host GNO's and catalog parties. I could not be more proud of them!

I also knew that I would be earning 2% on the personal sales volume that they achieved! But, what I didn't realize, was that I will be earning that 2% EVERY MONTH (as long as I sell $600 a month, which I'm not worried about at all)! I thought I would only earn it the month that I got promoted. Just one more reason why I love this company!!!! I hope that my two recruits will soon be promoted as well so they can enjoy the same benefits that I am! Go Team Fabulous!

I love social networking!

As you know, I have a myspace profile specifically for my TBSAH business. Well, yesterday I received an email from one of my friends who is interested in learning more about the business and becoming a potential consultant. We have a meeting set up on Monday over lunch and I am so happy! Seriously, everyone who is in sales or business for their selves should really consider how much the world wide web has to offer as far as networking! It really made the time I put into making my profile worth it! Not only that, but another friend on my profile is trying to find a date that works with both of our schedules to book a GNO! Talk about a nice pat on the back!

Also, I was asked to host a table at the first ever Holiday Shopping Extravaganza next month which is specifically geared towards Direct Sales! Woo-hoo! More info on that to come....

I also held a GNO this past weekend for a sweet gal by the name of Ashley. She chose to have the Foot Fun party. We didn't have very many guests; only 4 including Ashley. However, two of them did purchase the Peppermint Foot Collection which included several of the products we used on their feet that night! And they really did make a great choice! A Busy Weekend!

The previous weekend was super busy for me. Which is a great thing! First, remember that GNO that I mentioned in the post below? Well, we closed it out on Friday so my host could earn the host rewards for October. And all I can say is, WOW! She had over $500 in sales! Why is this so exciting? Because my host spent literally $29 and she will be receiving 14 products! Yup, you read that correctly! 14! If that doesn't motivate one to book a GNO or a catalog sale, I don't know what will!

Saturday I set up a table at the Lamar Community College Art, Craft, and Food Fair. I gave people free hand treatments, which everyone raved about afterwards! My director Becky lent me several items to have on hand to actually sell. I also had a small display of products that one could order if they chose. My sales that day were around $175, which was not too shabby. And it really amazes me the amount of people that have never heard of The Body Shop. For those who have, I probably had about ten different individuals come up to me and absolutely rave about our Hemp Hand Protector. That is a perfect product for anyone who has rough and dry hands. Either from working outside or washing their hands a lot. It has a very unisex smell, so it's great for both men and women!

Another fun aspect to setting up camp at the craft fair was the opportunity to meet some of my myspace friends! I had posted a bulletin that I would be at the craft fair and told my friends that if they came to my table and mentioned that they were my friend that I would give them a free mini sample of body butter. I did meet a couple of my new friends, which was really fun! I also booked one more GNO this month! Woo-Hoo!

My Saturday got even better when I received an email that evening that another fabulous lady by the name of Annette had signed up to be a consultant! I was so stoked! And the great thing about my two recruits is that I really didn't even have to recruit them! They just saw how much fun the GNOs were, they feel in love with the product, and SIGNED UP! It really was that easy!

My weekend didn't end there! Sunday was the business launch party for my consultant Cathy. I did the Fabulous Face GNO for her friends and family who showed up to support her (about 12 people showed up) and everyone had a great time! And after getting over my first initial GNO, this one went so much smoother!!! And what a fantastic launch it was! Cathy had over $300 in sales, and she booked 5 GNO's for this month! That's right! FIVE! I am so proud of her!

This weekend will be pretty busy as well! I've got a Foot Fun GNO on Saturday night and Annette's business launch party on Sunday!!! Go Team Fabulous!

My First GNO!

Last night I held my first GNO! My lovely host was Amy, and she choose to have a "Spa Experience" GNO. Obviously since it was my first GNO I was a little nervous. But, I rolled with it. And The Body Shop at Home really makes my job easy by providing me with cards with everything I need to say on them. I felt a little awkward using them at first, but afterwards I asked some of the guests that I had a rapport with if I looked or sounded weird using them and they said no, that it looked pretty natural. Sweet!

I also had some great learning experience! I had one guest who was allergic to citrus. So I quickly became familiar with the ingredients on all the products I was going to be allowing the gals to sample. And I had several cell phone interruptions. No biggie. Now I know to ask everyone at the beginning to please silence their phones!

I was also fortunate enough to have my new recruit, Cathy, come along so she could shadow me. And she is absolutely becoming a walking product information guide! She even helped answer some of the guests questions, which was wonderful. *Thanks, Cathy!*

My host is well on her way to earning a set of five make-up brushes in a nice brush roll that is perfect for traveling! And, I am 90% sure I also recruited another fabulous lady to become a Consultant as well! So I would definitely say that my first GNO was a success!

But, the fun doesn't stop there! Tomorrow I am setting up camp at the Lamar Community College Art, Craft, and Food Fair! Then, Sunday is Cathy's Business Launch Party! Go Team Fabulous! (I just made that up, but I think it may stick!)
