Last night I held my first GNO! My lovely host was Amy, and she choose to have a "Spa Experience" GNO. Obviously since it was my first GNO I was a little nervous. But, I rolled with it. And The Body Shop at Home really makes my job easy by providing me with cards with everything I need to say on them. I felt a little awkward using them at first, but afterwards I asked some of the guests that I had a rapport with if I looked or sounded weird using them and they said no, that it looked pretty natural. Sweet!
I also had some great learning experience! I had one guest who was allergic to citrus. So I quickly became familiar with the ingredients on all the products I was going to be allowing the gals to sample. And I had several cell phone interruptions. No biggie. Now I know to ask everyone at the beginning to please silence their phones!
I was also fortunate enough to have my new recruit, Cathy, come along so she could shadow me. And she is absolutely becoming a walking product information guide! She even helped answer some of the guests questions, which was wonderful. *Thanks, Cathy!*
My host is well on her way to earning a set of five make-up brushes in a nice brush roll that is perfect for traveling! And, I am 90% sure I also recruited another fabulous lady to become a Consultant as well! So I would definitely say that my first GNO was a success!
But, the fun doesn't stop there! Tomorrow I am setting up camp at the Lamar Community College Art, Craft, and Food Fair! Then, Sunday is Cathy's Business Launch Party! Go Team Fabulous! (I just made that up, but I think it may stick!)

And now was the best time for her to decide to start this great journey. Why? Well, first of all, because the holidays are fast approaching. What better way to earn some extra spending money, and get a discount on great products from The Body Shop to give away for gifts! But the best reason, was because starting today and ending on November, 30, anyone can sign up to become a consultant and the starter kit is only $110! That is HALF OFF! Woo-hoo!!! Business Launch Party
I held my business launch party yesterday with much success! I had nine gals that showed up in support of my new and exciting business. And they were a lucky group of gals! My director, Becky, came and actually led the party while I was able to take notes and learn from someone who has made a name for herself in this business.
I choose to use the Spa Experience theme for my Girls Nite Out. It's a shame I wasn't able to join in! It looked like so much fun! So much fun, in fact, that I completely forgot to take pictures! Oh well! But, each gal was able to soak her feet in a tub of warm water complete with our Spa Wisdom Dreamboat Milk Bath. Then, they put on a body glove to apply the Spa Wisdom Blissful Body Cleanser to leave their feet feeling clean and fresh. This was followed by Spa Wisdom African Spa Salt Scrub to exfoliate their feet. Afterwards, they dried their feet and applied the Spa Wisdom African Spa Hand and Foot Butter. (Smells sooooo yummy!)
Once the gals had their feet pampered, Becky passed around several products for my guests to smell and/or sample. And while this was going on, everyone was able to ask questions about The Body Shop and about a potential career with The Body Shop at Home. Finally, while everyone was placing their order or browsing through our Holiday catalog, Becky asked each girl which scent of body butter they would like to have a sample of to take home. Who doesn't love free samples?
The party didn't last any longer than two hours, and each girl left feeling great and smelling wonderful. I had several orders and will be placing my first order on Wednesday, which will allow some girls to look through the catalog at their own pace to make sure they didn't over look an item they can't live without! The best part is, two hours later, I had made $80 from the orders I already have placed. Not too shabby if you ask me!!!
